Activism

Activism is a crucial part of why First Light Engineering was created. After working with organisations like Sea Shepherd Global, Animal Rising and M/Y Louise Michel, Sam was inspired to bring morality and ethical choices into the methods used in the creative industry. But most importantly recognising the people within in and respecting their skills and dedication to their craft. The world doesn't need a few reaping the rewards, everyone needs to be succeeding together.

Whilst hugging engines was a huge part of it, Sam took part in campaigns to remove illegal fishing devices from the Mediterranean, documented illegal fishing practices in the north Atlantic, repaired cranes for humanitarian rescue and spent months in refit docks preparing vessels for upcoming missions.
